Week #41
The flood

Changing it up a bit - so just a warning... this computer has no spell check whatsoever!

Ok let's start on Tuesday. It was my last day in Auxerre and it feels like forever ago! We just went finding all day until night time. We got a call from a potential ami and he asked if we could play soccer tonight? I was like YES!!! So we did and he became an ami and our most solid ami. After he invited us back to his apartment, we ate diner and played guitar. Super fun way to end.

Wednesday was crazy! Transfer day! Nuts as ever. We got into Paris at like 9h and my companion didn't get in until about 2h.. so I had a lot of time to wait. There were a lot of missionaries there, so I was lucky and got to talk to some friends! Finally met Elder Rodriguez. We are in trouble, come to find out he is from Virginia - 10 mins away from the beach! He isn't Hispanic and doesn't speak any Spanish...and our companionship is supposed to be a spanish speaking one as well as French...President thought he could speak spanish... nope... so this will be an interesting transfer. He is actually half Korean. We met up with Elder Perry a crazy awesome Tahitian. Love that kid to death and he took us back home. Carried all our stuff by ourselves throughout Paris, was a NIGHTMARE. I'm still sore. We get there and Perry says "don't use the bathroom...it has been having some problems lately.." (this will become very important later)

Thursday/Friday rolls around we wake up and the apartment is completely flooded. And guess what kinda water it is!!! Drum roll...toilet water. Our apartment STILL smells like death. So we call the people who are in-charge of that stuff and I'm like "hey we got a serious problem here...no toilet seat, and no toilet...and we are flooding" We were cleaning it up the whole day! We had a DMP meeting. We just got a DMP but our meeting wasn't with our real DMP, it was just with a guy in the ward because he was out of town. Then we were on toilet duty again.

Thursday still trying to un-flood the apartment. Finally they get a plumber over. It was super expensive. We had about 4 inches of water in the bathroom! Then we had a RDV with a guy we found named Moosa. It was good we taught him in a mall. He didn't come to church thought so that was a bummer. Then Elder Karl stayed the night and we just ended up talking allllllllllllllll night long haha.

Saturday we dropped off Elder Karl then did a thing called Samedi Sports! It's where the ward gets together and we all play soccer it's the best! We went so hard! We played till 2h. After soccer we weekly planned.

Sunday went to church. Almost late haha. The ward is huge like 100 plus active! No amis came...super annoying because we were suppose to have 3. The Souers (sisters) had a baptism! So that was rad. After we ate then went contacting around the Grand Arch (located in the Modern Business District of Paris). Talked to a member for a while, it was chill.

TODAY. that's a new one huh? It was a REAL p-day meaning we actually DID SOMETHING!!! We saw the Arch of Triumph! And went to the very top. It was free for us because we have french Visas!!! It was so epic! We then shopped on the Champs-Elysees. I got a coat:) Now we are doing emails. Good week! Love you guys thanks for the emails!!!

Week #40

Transferring to Paris

Hey! This week was super good, really busy, but good!

For starters I am getting transferred to Pairs! I will be in St. Ouen (pronounced San Twon) which is in the Sacred Heart Basilica area! I cant wait! I am white washing this area with a kid named Elder Rodriguez.

Tuesday was legit, it was district meeting. We thought it would be fun to do an activity and go see the Arch of Triumph. But it was an epic fail and everyone was just mad the whole time. Elders Johnson, Watts my companion and me were having fun! So we just left the rest and went and got something to eat. We found a dude that lived in Brazil who was a member and hasn't seen the missionaries since... So we gave him the ZL's number in Paris and the address for the church. We heard later that he went to church on Sunday so that was cool. Then a bunch of crazy stuff happened with the trains and they ran out of power, so we missed our train 4 times haha so we went shopping and it was awesome. Saw some Americans! They took pics with us, we felt cool:) We didn't get home till like 10h30 haha.

Wednesday was super crazy. An INSANE rain storm hit Auxerre, so bad that we couldn't even drive in it! So our exchange with the Troyes Elders was just us pretty much sitting in the apartment doing area book work.

Thursday we went contacting  and tried visiting less actives and old amis. No one was home and or no longer lived at the addresses we had in our book. Then we just contacted the rest of the day.

Friday was more contacting. We had to weekly plan and after we went a saw Tsiry. It was a good RDV, it will be my last time ever going to her house which was sad! We taught about priesthood and prayer. Then just did pass-backs in the evening.

Saturday was the day I found out I am getting transferred to Paris! So I was on cloud 9 all day. Also, my MTC comp, Elder Karl, is my District Leader! He is so happy it'

s going to be so much fun! Then at night we went porting in a this place and found 3 new amis - it was epic!

Sunday was 'goodbye day'. But it was good because I am ready to get on to my next ville, I was glad because I was able to say my goodbyes fast haha. After we went over to the Judas house and ate food. Then at night we went contacting and porting. So that's my week!

The photos are pretty lame this week, sorry I didn't have a lot of time to pull out the camera this week. Love you guys!  P.S. A guy that I found and taught in Charleroi is getting baptized this week!

Week # 39
Tsiry

This was a pretty good week!

Tuesday we had District Meeting in Paris. We got a formation on obedience. Then we got to bum around Paris for like 3hrs because something to do with our train. We just looked around at the backroads n' stuff it was rad. Then I went on an exchange with Elder Moffitt. He is coo,l he is from Brighton, Utah so we talked a lot about snowboarding!

Wednesday Elder Moffitt's companion was super sick in our apartment.  Elder Moffitt and I went and worked, but no one was on the roads because it was raining.

Thursday was Elder Dayleys year mark so we went to a nice restaurant it was sweet! Drove a lot that day because we tried visiting people. Not a lot happened. Oh yeah we knocked on doors in a Muslim neighborhood it remind me a ton of Charleroi.

Friday there was an INSANE lightening storm. E Dayley and I stayed up late watching it. I have a bunch of vids I cant send...sorry guys. There are cool though! Our mission is getting iPads soon - pretty stoked about that! We had a branch "party" with 4 people. We just walked to a park, ate, then went home haha. #gettingcrazy.

Saturday we just did a lot contacting. We got to see Tsiry. Taught her about temples, we got her super excited to go! She asked a lot of hard questions though haha. So on Saturday we were going to drive an hour away to visit and less active family, but we decided not to go. Then we decided that we should see them today. So we drive all the way there and the guy is like "sorry we just got back from vacation we can't see you we got home this morning but we are moving soon so here is our new address and phone number!" If we wouldn't have gone we would completely lost contact it was pretty cool! That's pretty much my week. Thanks guys, love you all.

Week #38
9 months!

Ok peeps time to talk bout my week,

It went by super fast, but from what I remember it was pretty good.Tuesday was district meeting, so we were all in Paris. Instead of going back home to Auxerre we went to Troyes. I was on an exchange with Elder Watts the old district leader. It was super fun. We kinda got there really late, but we still got a lot of work done. We found a new ami for them, he was really cool.

Wednesday finished my exchange with Watts, it was super cool I love the ville Troyes. It's a lot like Auxerre, but bigger. I lost the phone on a bus, but the other Elder found it luckily. The bus driver was nice and gave it back to us! Taught a cool member in Troyes too. All the members there love us. They all know my name haha. They worship us because of the all the baptisms we get in Auxerre, so when I come to Troyes they get a bunch of dinner lessons haha. Then we came back home and started another exchange in Auxerre with the missionaries in Paris. I was with an interesting elder. He is in his 2nd transfer and already thinks he knows everything it's pretty funny. But at night time I arranged a big soccer game with all our cool amis.  We played soccer all night with the Paris elders and our amis. It was so rad! One of the funnest nights I've had in Auxerre!

Thursday was my 9 month mark and my Dad and Grandpa's birthdays. Pretty eventful. I was still on an exchange with that one kid. We got sucked in by a crazy dude that was following us. He had blood on his shirt and we was super sketchy. He comes back into the story later. Then I was back with Elder Dayley we found an old ami at the park that we had lost contact with. She is interesting.

Friday was pretty sketchy because we had a reunion with the branch. After we get a call saying we needed to come back because we have an ami at the church. We were like hmm who could that be It was the freaking crazy dude .I guess he followed us to the church. Luckily Bro. Judas is a cop and he had our backs incase homie tried pulling something. Pretty much we kindly told him go away haha. Then we had to weekly plan and ate Dominos for dinner ;)

Saturday was super busy. We had an RDV at 10:30 in the morning with a lady and her family. I was super allergic to her cats, so that stunk. Then we taught a cool young dude named Simon. I gotta go so this is going to be fast from here on out. We taught Tsiry and Dera, it was a really good lesson. Hopefully he gets baptized soon. Then we taught that lady we found in the park named Mirae.

Sunday was fast Sunday. We had 18 people at church! We all ate together after church. After church we did pass backs and contacting. Saw a less active.  We found a super legit dude last night contacting right after we said a prayer wanting to find a new family to teach. It was a dude with a family of 8 people!!! So stoked!
Thanks everybody for all your emails love you guys!!
