 Week #36
Tsiry's baptism

Hi everyone,
This week was sooooo busy, but it was a super fun week!Tuesday we had exchanges with the Elders in Paris. I was with this cool Tahitian kid named Elder Utiah. He is training right now, so he was very happy to get a break. We were able to have a great exchange. We got to see the side of Paris that not very many people get to see. We went to neighborhoods (suburbs) and cool Parisian housing. We ate at a members house, they were really nice. It really made me miss being in a ward though!

Wednesday we were still on exchanges. We just went contacting in Paris, it was really fun! A lot different than Auxerre about 14,894,653,489 more people! Met some Americans as well. That was a nice refresher because the whole exchange we were speaking french only. Elder Dayley accidentally forgot to give the Paris Elders there phone back at the end of the exchange, so we had to go back to their apartment and give it back to them...and it took forever! But it all got worked out in the end, we got home at like 10h30

Thursday was busy. We went to the Judas house and ate with Tsiry, her kids and some choice members of the branch again. After dinner we taught the whole team why it's important to have a testimony of the Book of Mormon. Then we gave a blessing to a member. We give blessings a lot here. Then we went and taught some lessons after.

Friday we had an exchange with the Zone Leaders so I was on my best behavior;) I was with a kid from Quebec (which is French speaking Canada) so another 2 days of French only...so by the end of the week you could say I was FRENCH FRIED hehehe lol. Hopefully I haven't already used that joke. Running out of material here. Tsiry had a baptismal interview. SHE PASSED! Wooo Hoo!  But yeah it was a good hard working exchange!

Saturday finished up the exchange, then it was just GO GO GO the rest of the day! We had to do everything for Tsiry's baptism, and we had to shop for the week, weekly plan, and we had random RDVs throughout the day too! It doesn't sound busy, but it was!

Sunday was awesome! We had another baptism here in good ole' Auxerre! This place is on fire right now. A lot of people came to church as well. After we drove to Troyes. I drove Elder Dayley and me.  It's like a 2 hour drive, it was pretty crazy! Every thing with the baptism went over really well! I asked if Elder Watts would baptize here because he is at the end of his mission and he hasn't seen a baptism yet. And he has helped teach her a couple of times while he was on exchanges with us. He was with me when we found her, so it was a really cool experience for him and us too! I drove home in the craziest rain storm I have ever seen. It was super sketchy! Then we just went home and went contacting. I love you all! Thanks for all of your support.
Love,
Elder Beck
